Graveyard shift being screwed state wide

Hi I'm a Officer at the Lumley Unit at ASPC-PV. In April I'm going to hold a rally at the state capital asking for grave yard shift state wide to be given all the benefits that the other shifts have. The big one .. two days off for graveyard staff. Grave yard shift works 6 days a week has one day off, and 4 of the 6 days worked grave yard shift staff report to work 2 times in the same day. And grave yard shift don't get any compensation for not having 2 days off..IE shift differential. This is one of the big's wrongs the department is doing to it staff.. I'm trying to get the word out to all the units state wide . Yes I know that most cant make the rally. But start writing your State Reps ...I would go to the Union But DOC doesn't have a Union they are just a tool of the director to keep us staff pacified. I was hoping we could get a petition started here and I need at least 200 name on it. It time to take the grave yard night mare to the public in front of cameras and the people who give Doc there money to make the prison system run. Long as we keep going to the warden Co meeting and listening to them say at the meeting we will not talk about 4/10 they are never coming back. And we just walk away taking the wardens word it will never happen. Time to go to the streets. I need help I need a petition started I will pay for the permits to be at the capital Please help me get grave yard shift state wide the 2 days they need to be with there family and loved ones. One day of a week isn't enough time to rest and come back in to a prison environment. the staff on graveyard shift state wide are tired You would be too if you only had one day of every week. I have worked graveyard now for 4 years with one day off a week and I'm very tired, its time to get doc to do what's right and give grave yard shift 2 days off not 48 hours ...there not the same.
